Ja’Quan is a known mentor, author, and entrepreneur from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He is now an Educational Advisor in the TRiO program at his alma mater, Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Before enrolling in college he lost his oldest sister Jasmine R. Phillips one day before his high school graduation. After her passing a spark was lit inside him to educate his local community on the effects Sickle Cell Disease can have on a person's body and family. His passion for educating and mentoring the younger generation grew. While in college Ja’Quan was the lead/head mentor for incoming freshmen students. Upon obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he began working for the city of Raleigh Youth Programs Department while building his first business venue The Jasmine Sickle Cell Warriors Foundation Inc. Upon building his foundation, Ja’Quan started focusing more on his career and other business ventures.

In addition to working in higher education, Ja’Quan is the mastermind behind various ventures and brands: Ja’Quan R. Phillips Enterprise, an all-in-one business Hub, Jasmine Sickle Cell Warriors Foundation Inc., a nonprofit origination about raising awareness for Sickle Cell Disease, and The Warrior Story Podcast, a podcast that brings the conversation of Sickle Cell Disease to the forefront of media.

Ja’Quan also enjoys writing and speaking to groups about issues close to his heart. Ja’Quan is up-an coming author. "Warrior Story” was his first book writing, starting a series of books. His 2nd book, "Warrior Story: The Study Guide" was released shortly after.

Phillips is a certified Notary Public with the state of North Carolina. While staying busy as a mentor, entrepreneur, and author, Ja’Quan always makes time for his community and his speaking engagements, he always does his best with everything his name is apart of.
